Why go
Designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, the bridge opened in 2016 and became an instant icon: a white ribbon of steel and glass strung between karst cliffs that themselves look like set design.
The experience is two-part: the bridge crossing (about 20 minutes, with wind and sway at the midpoint) and the 4.5km canyon trail below, which ends in a stretch of gondola boats through a narrow gorge.

Practical tips
Entry is strictly by timed slot — book online and arrive 30 minutes early. Storage lockers are compulsory for loose items. The bridge sways slightly; that is normal. Skip it in heavy wind or storms, when sections close.
Nearby
The bridge is 40 minutes from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park's eastern gate — the two combine into a full day. Tianmen Mountain is on the opposite side of the city.
